Progress!

I’m finally getting round to designing a website with updated info on recent projects. This will have more details on how to book me to perform and about commissioning illustration and graphics work! along with a my portfolio and showreel.

I’m aiming to have this done in a month but as I’m teaching myself web design along the way it may take longer! fingers crossed!

Murder Mile by Claire Seville

A couple of months ago I went down to Murder Mile Studios to do a shoot with the lovely Claire Seville and an amazing make up artist, I wanted to keep her!

Dahlia In Print…

Well Its been an exciting couple of months with more plans in the pipeline! I’ll update some of my modeling exploits next week, but for now here is some scans of a couple of magazine articles I’ve had a mention in.

Tatoo Revolution

A write-up of Forever: Art Inspired by Ink. This was an exhibition set up by Dawnii Fanta, Claire Seville and Jo Farn. I was lucky enough to be part of it displaying my paintings, modeling (my photo is top Left!) and of course my hula hooping. There is a little mention of my “extremely wiggley” antics in the article too. If you missed this event we are hoping to put another show on next year which is guaranteed to be bigger and better.

 Bizarre Body Art 4

When Bizarre where looking for submissions I sent in photos of my tattoos and was lucky enough to get my back tattoo by Drew Romeo Printed. Maybe next year I can make cover girl… I can dream! ha

That’s all for now…

Love

Practising for Bohemia!

This gives you a hint of what I did on stage at the Bohemia show the final routine had a couple more moves in it and I’m hoping less thinking faces! but I’m still new to the stage and I’m pleased how it went. I didn’t drop the hoop!! It was really nice to have people coming up to me after telling me they enjoyed the act. I met some lovely people over the two day and cant wait to do it all again.

Hoop Dance Flyer Design

I’ve a couple of shows this weekend, so I’ve quickly made up some business cards and a flyer to hand about in the hope I’ll get some more work. I always get stopped in the street when I’m carrying my hoops so its handy to have some cards on me. I did some a while ago the were pink and turquoise and a little retro. Very cute, but a little camp for me. As you can see I went for a more sultry look, a little goth but not too dark. Its Allan’s photos that make the designs really. Very lucky we did the shoot.

Just a little bit of Pin Up with Allan

My friend Allan and I did a shoot a couple of weeks ago. It was a bit of a expirement to get ideas for future promo shoots for my burlesque. They were taken in my flat so we were quite limited with what we could do, but I’m really happy with them. He has made me all glowy! We are hoping to find a better location and try out a few more things.

Please check out his other work.. www.flickr.com/photos/allanhickenbottom/
